Iranian Ambassador calls on DU VC

          Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Abbas Vaezi Dehnavi called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today, May 18, 2017 at the latter’s office of the university. Chairman of DU Persian Language & Literature Department Prof. Dr. Abdus Sabur Khan was present on this occasion.

During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest especially on-going joint collaborative academic and research programs between Dhaka University and Iranian universities. They exchanged views regarding how to strengthen the existing collaboration and friendly ties between DU and Iranian universities on Persian language education and research. They stressed the need for equipping students with humanitarian values and teachings of Iranian epic poet Hakim Abulqasem Ferdousi.

DU VC Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked Iranian Ambassador Dr. Abbas Vaezi Dehnavi for his visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its Persian language and literature education.
