Institute of Modern Languages
I am an associate professor and the immediate past head of the Department of English Language (July 2021- June 2023) at IML, DU. I am the Vice President II of TESOL Society of Bangladesh from September 2022 - August 2023. Earlier I was the vice president of BELTA (2019-2021). I am also the founding executing editor of BELTA Journal (2017-2021). Other than writing academic articles and doing project-based research, I am highly interested in academic editing, editing translated texts and also in translating texts. I believe in community engagement and contribution and having a direct impact on their lives. I strongly believe that academic practices and the context of practices need to be closely connected. In fact, the more direct the connection is, the more beneficial the practice of creating knowledge is, for either party - academics and society. Having a constructive impact on people's lives is more important to me than having articles published in journals with high impact factor.GoogleScholar ResearchGate Academia ORCID LinkedIn Routledge_Author_Profile
