Born and educated in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Professor Saber earned BSS and MSS degrees in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka, along with a PGDPM, followed by an M.Phil. from the University of Bergen and a Ph.D. in Human Rights from La Trobe University. An academic since 2001, he is currently a Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Dhaka. His research focuses on human rights, AI, elections, the Rohingya crisis, youth and governance. He has authored three books and over 40 articles, consulted for major institutions, and actively engage in democracy advocacy and election observation.
