Career Objective:

My long-term objective is to build a distinguished academic and research career specializing in Persian Language and Literature, with a particular focus on the Persian Studies sector in Bangladesh. To fulfill this ambition, I earned my Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Tarbiat Modares University (Teacher’s Training University), Tehran, Iran, under a fully funded and highly competitive scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Research of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During my doctoral studies, my research primarily concentrated on Persian manuscripts, ancient Iranian history, pre-Islamic culture and festivals, Persian grammar and stylistics, comparative literature, and the historical development of Iranian society following the advent of Islam. My broader academic interests also extend to Persian cinema and television, Middle Eastern socio-political history, and cross-cultural interactions between Iran and the wider Muslim world.

Currently, I am engaged in research and translation projects that involve the adaptation of classic and modern Persian films and television serials for Bangladeshi audiences. These include celebrated works such as Yousuf-Julekha (Hazrat Yousuf-e Payambar), Ashabe Kahaf (Mardane Anjoles), Karbala Kahini (Mokhtar Nameh), Bibi Mariam (Mariam Moqaddas / Saint Mary), Isa Nobi (Basharate Munji), Shahrzad, and more than thirty-seven acclaimed Iranian films, including Where Is the Friend’s House?, Children of Heaven, The Cow, and A Separation.

With a strong commitment to interdisciplinary scholarship, I aim to contribute to the development of Persian Studies in Bangladesh, promote academic collaboration between Iranian and Bangladeshi institutions, and enrich cross-cultural understanding through research, publication, and translation.

To date, I have published 24 peer-reviewed research articles in Persian, English, and Bengali, and authored 17 books. I have presented my research at numerous international conferences, including UNESCO (Paris, France), Shanghai & Beijing (China), Tehran, Hormozgan (Iran), Damascus (Syria), and Rachaburi (Thailand). In addition to my academic pursuits, I have also written film scripts and served as a cultural advisor for Iran-Bangladesh joint film ventures, notably DIN THE DAY and FERESHTE.
