Rahima Akhter is a Lecturer in the Department of World Religions and Culture at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, where she also obtained her BA (Hons.) and MA degrees, graduating first in her class, and subsequently completed her M.Phil in 2020. For academic excellence, she has achieved several awards, including the Khaleda Manjur-e-Khuda Gold Medal and the Arts Faculty Dean’s Awards. Her scholarly work focuses on interreligious empathy, peacebuilding, and the role of religion in conflict transformation, with an emerging research interest in the ways digital technologies and social media are reshaping religious expression, identity, and interfaith relations in contemporary Bangladesh. She has authored publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals, addressing themes such as religious pluralism, grassroots initiatives for peace, and the ethical challenges and opportunities of digital religion. In addition to her academic research, she actively participates in community-based projects aimed at countering religious bigotry, fostering inclusive dialogue, and promoting mutual understanding across diverse faith traditions.
