A three-day long seminar on “Promoting Reverse Engineering Technology in Bangladesh: An Aspect of Pharmaceutical Industry-Academia Collaboration” begins today November 25, 2015 at the Centre for Advanced Research in Sciences (CARS) auditorium of Dhaka University (DU). DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Nasreen Ahmad inaugurated the seminar as chief guest.

Presided over by former DU VC and Former UGC Chairman Professor Emeritus Dr. A K Azad Chowdhury the inaugural function of the seminar was addressed by Chairman of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Marshall University, USA Prof. Dr. Md. Omar Faruk Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmancy Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Islam, Chairman of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology Prof. Dr. Md. Selim Reza, Chairman of the Department of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Sitesh Chandra Bachar, Chairman of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Prof. Dr. Mehedi Masud, Prof. Dr. Abu Sara Shamsur Rouf of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Managing Director of UniMed & UniHealth Manufacturers Ltd. M Mosaddek Hossain.

DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Nasreen Ahmad said, expansion of pharmaceutical industries and drug productions in Bangladesh may be enhanced by promoting reverse engineering technology. She thanked the organizers of the seminar and hoped that participants would be highly benefited by this three-day long seminar.  

The seminar was organized under the sub-project of the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP), Round-3, Windows-II, CP No.-3245. Professor Dr. Abu Shara Shamsur Rouf, Sub-Project Manager (SPM) presented the theme of the seminar
