On the morning of August 4, 2026, Chen Zhimin, Vice President of Fudan University, led a delegation on a visit to the Centre for China Studies (Bangladesh). Professor Md. Rakibul Hoque, Bangladesh Director of the Centre for China Studies, and Wu Mengke, Executive Deputy Director of the Centre’s Dhaka Office, received the delegation. During the meeting, both sides held in-depth discussions on China–Bangladesh exchanges on governance experience, the Centre’s key projects, and cooperation and exchanges in higher education between China and Bangladesh. Professor Mohammad Mainul Islam of the Department of Population Sciences at the University of Dhaka, Yang Hui, Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Dhaka, and Associate Professor Li Jian of the College of Transportation at Tongji University also attended the event.

Professor Zhang Ping, Deputy Dean of the School of International Relations and Public Affairs at Fudan University; Professor Zheng Yu, Head of the Department of International Politics; Professor Yin Zhiguang; Associate Professor Li Yin; Associate Professor Zhuang Meiqian; Wu Yufei and Zhang Yidan from the School of International Relations and Public Affairs; and Professor Wang Zhongyuan of the Institute for Advanced Social Sciences at Fudan University accompanied the delegation. Rui Qi, Attaché of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bangladesh, also participated in the meeting.
