Chinese Director of Dhaka University Confucius Institute Invited to Attend Seminar Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the World Anti-Fascist War Held by Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh达卡孔院中方院长受邀出席驻孟使馆举办的纪念世界反法西斯战争胜利80周年专题研讨会
2025年9月1日，中国驻孟加拉国使馆隆重举办“共同记忆与时代使命：纪念世界反法西斯战争胜利80周年”专题研讨会。姚文大使出席并发表讲话。中孟两国政商学界代表和孟当地主流媒体等40余人参加。
姚文大使表示，今年是中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法西斯战争胜利80周年。80年前，中国人民与世界各国人民并肩作战，彻底打败法西斯主义，实现了正义对邪恶、光明对黑暗、进步对反动的伟大胜利。中国人民抗日战争作为东方主战场，为世界反法西斯战争胜利作出了不可磨灭的历史贡献。他强调，要铭记历史、缅怀先烈，珍惜和维护来之不易的和平环境，坚守和平、发展、公平、正义、民主、自由的全人类共同价值。呼吁国际社会共同抵制歪曲历史、美化侵略的错误行径，捍卫二战胜利成果和国际公平正义，携手构建人类命运共同体。
与会嘉宾高度评价中国在世界反法西斯战争中付出的巨大牺牲和作出的重要贡献，强调应牢记历史教训，阻止法西斯主义卷土重来，防止悲剧重演，中国应在建设新的国际秩序中发挥更大作用。
达卡大学孔子学院中方院长杨惠表示，历史是一面镜子，更是一本深刻的教科书。作为教育工作者，我们肩负着传承历史记忆、培育和平理念的重要使命。我们应当引导年轻一代铭记历史、珍爱和平、面向未来，共同反对战争与分裂，推动构建人类命运共同体。中国和孟加拉国是传统友好邻邦，在维护多边主义、促进共同发展方面有着广泛共识。让我们携手努力，将历史的教训转化为促进团结与合作的动力，共同守护来之不易的和平与稳定。
On September 1, 2025, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bangladesh held a seminar titled “Shared Memory and Contemporary Mission: Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the World Anti-Fascist War.” Ambassador Yao Wen attended and delivered a speech. More than 40 representatives from political, business, and academic circles of China and Bangladesh, as well as local mainstream media in Bangladesh participated in the event.
Ambassador Yao Wen stated that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Eighty years ago, the Chinese people fought side by side with people around the world, defeating fascism and achieving a great victory of justice over evil, light over darkness, and progress over reaction. As the main Eastern theater, the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression made an indelible historical contribution to the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. He emphasized the importance of remembering history, honoring the fallen martyrs, cherishing and safeguarding the hard-won peace, and upholding the common values of peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy, and freedom for all humanity. He called on the international community to jointly resist actions that distort history and glorify aggression, defend the outcomes of the World War II victory and international fairness and justice, and work together to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
The attendees spoke highly of China’s tremendous sacrifices and significant contributions to the World Anti-Fascist War. They emphasized the importance of remembering the lessons of history to prevent the resurgence of fascism and avoid the repetition of such tragedies. They also highlighted that China should play a greater role in building a new international order.
Dr.Yang Hui, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Dhaka, stated that history is a mirror and a profound textbook. As educators, we bear the important mission of passing on historical memory and fostering a culture of peace. We should guide the young generation to remember history, cherish peace, and look to the future, jointly opposing war and division while promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. China and Bangladesh are traditionally friendly neighbors, sharing broad consensus on upholding multilateralism and promoting common development. Let us work hand in hand to transform the lessons of history into motivation for unity and cooperation, jointly safeguarding the hard-won peace and stability.
