FUNCTIONS:

 

1. Develop and Implement Quality Assurance Frameworks

• Create a Continuous Improvement Cycle: Establish processes for ongoing quality enhancement through regular self-assessment and monitoring, ensuring that academic and administrative departments engage in a cycle of continuous improvement.
• Promote Holistic Quality Culture: Advocate for a quality culture that permeates teaching, research, and governance, aligning with the university's mission to foster academic excellence and societal impact.
• Standardize Quality Benchmarks: Help departments adopt standardized quality benchmarks for teaching, research, and governance, ensuring alignment with national and international standards.

 

2. Monitor and Evaluate Academic Programs

• Facilitate Regular Self-Assessment: Provide support for academic departments to carry out self-assessments, using stakeholder feedback (students, alumni, employers, faculty) to improve curriculum design, teaching methods, and learning outcomes.
• Implement SWOT Analysis: Guide departments through SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis to critically evaluate their programs and make data-driven improvements.
• Develop Post Self-Assessment Improvement Plans (PSAIP): Assist in the creation of PSAIPs based on self-assessment findings, helping departments address shortcomings and improve their academic offerings.
