Program Description

The M.S. program in Theoretical Physics is a 1.5-year course designed to combine advanced coursework with independent research. The program is structured to move students from strong theoretical foundations toward research-level work in modern physics.

Key Academic Features

  • Intensive Learning: Each 4-credit course consists of 60 lectures (50 minutes each), to ensure that students have sound theoretical understanding.

  • Focus on Research: The 10-credit Thesis is a cornerstone of the degree. It is evaluated through a combination of the written manuscript (60%) and a dedicated thesis defense/oral presentation (40%).

  • Computational Integration: For Computational Physics modules, the assessment is split 50/50 between written examinations and hands-on laboratory evaluation; to bridge the gap between theory and numerical simulation.
