I had the privilege of observing the activities and potential of the Science Workshop from close quarters as the former Dean of the Faculty of Science. During my tenure, together with the In-charge of the Science Workshop, we developed a roadmap for its modernization and long-term development. Guided by that vision, several important initiatives were undertaken, including the organization of a skill-development workshop for the staff, the launch of the Science Workshop's first-ever official website in its nearly 100-year history, and the initiation of the job card automation project.

It gives me immense pleasure to learn that the job card automation initiative, which was launched during my tenure as Dean, has now been successfully completed. I sincerely congratulate the Science Workshop on implementing a fully digital job card management system. This remarkable achievement will significantly enhance efficiency, transparency, accountability, and the overall quality and speed of service delivery. It also represents an important milestone in the Workshop's journey toward modern, technology-driven administration.

The ultimate mission of every university is to promote excellence in education, research, and innovation. However, the essential support units that work behind the scenes—such as the Science Workshop—play an equally vital role in achieving that mission. Without continuous modernization, capacity building, and technological advancement of these supporting facilities, it is difficult for a university to keep pace with the rapidly evolving demands of higher education and scientific research.

I am delighted to see that the Science Workshop is embracing change by acquiring modern equipment, strengthening the technical capabilities of its personnel, and adopting digital technologies to improve its services. These initiatives reflect a forward-looking vision and a strong commitment to excellence.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to everyone involved in these commendable efforts and wish the Science Workshop continued success, sustained growth, and many more achievements in the years ahead.
