The Centre for Gender and Development Studies, University of Dhaka, and UN Women organised a dialogue on 'Care Economy and the Labour Market: Rethinking Women’s Economic Agency in Bangladesh' on 10 September, 2026 at Professor Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium, Faculty of Social Sciences, DU.
The dialogue provided an important space for scholars practitioners and students for exchanging perspectives and rethinking policies and practices that can recognise, reduce, and redistribute care work while advancing women’s economic empowerment.
