Nijam Uddin Sarkar, a Master’s student of the 27th batch at the Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT), University of Dhaka, has brought international acclaim by representing Bangladesh at two major youth summits in Bangkok and Tokyo.
From 21–24 August 2025, Nijam joined the Future Action Summit 2025 in Bangkok as a fully funded delegate, where his team’s proposals, including an AI-driven hub to reduce education disparities and a novel deforestation analysis framework won the “Future SDGs Champion Award.”
He was later selected for the 4th Japan Youth Summit 2025 at Meiji Gakuin University, Tokyo (8–11 September), earning the prestigious Gold Package Scholarship for his project on child development inequalities in South Asia.
