Neuromarketing is an interdisciplinary field of study that incorporates neuroscience and marketing. Its objective is to explore the effects of marketing on consumer behavior, preferences, and their decision-making process. And, it aims to create effective and engaging marketing content by employing brain-based insights. Furthermore, graphic design is a mode of visual communication that often combines visual and verbal elements. Graphic design aims to convey a piece of information to its audience through systematic data organization. Graphic design is largely connected to marketing, and it uses visual elements such as colors, shapes, textures, patterns, typefaces, etc., to convey the information to the audience’s mind. Neuromarketing analyzes the brain’s reaction when confronting visual stimuli like colors, shapes, and layouts through scientific techniques such as EEG, fMRI, Eye-tracking, etc. It provides insights into the brain’s information processing system, subconscious response, and decision-making process. This research shows that brain-based insights achieved by neuromarketing are highly efficacious to be employed in graphic design for optimal visual communication and to create effective emotional appeal. A review-based approach is employed in this research. It draws data from prior works on neuromarketing, graphic design, consumer behavior, etc., and synthesizes that into new knowledge for enhancing the visual communication capability of graphic design. Research findings indicate that comprehending the subconscious information processing system of the audience and employing that in the marketing visuals optimally enhances consumer engagement.
