Admission
Admission for International Students
Students from outside Bangladesh are admitted through the Ministry of Education and the University's Office of the International Affairs. Here is how the process works.
How to apply
- Apply through the Ministry of Education
Submit the application in triplicate on the prescribed form to the Ministry of Education, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, through the Bangladesh diplomatic mission in your country of domicile, or your country's diplomatic mission in Bangladesh. All certificates and transcripts must be notarised by an authorised official of your country's Foreign Ministry; applications without this are not considered.
- Eligibility check by the Faculty
On receipt of the application from the Ministry of Education, the Equivalence Committee of the concerned Faculty verifies your eligibility for the desired program.
- Review by the Department or Institute
If you are eligible, the application is sent to the Academic Committee of the concerned Department/Institute for its opinion.
- Approval and no-objection certificate
The Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) approves the admission and the decision is forwarded to the Ministry of Education, which issues a no-objection certificate in favour of your admission.
- Enrolment
You can then be admitted by paying the fees and other charges. After all government formalities are complete, the application should reach the Office of the Registrar, University of Dhaka, by 31 December of the year of applying.
In special cases, so that classes can begin on time, the University may allow admission subject to approval of the concerned regulatory authorities within the next 2 months. Otherwise the admission will be considered cancelled.
