A reactor simulation lab, “Research Laboratory for Nuclear Reactors (RLNR)" was recently established in the NE department under Dr. Afroza Shelley's leadership. Personal license of the latest version of Monte Carlo N-Particle® MCNP6.2 has been granted for five years. This lab has also received the official permission of Japanese simulation Code SRAC2006. Current focus of this laboratory is the R&D of VVER-1200.reactor, which is currently under construction as Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant.
