A day-long national conference on “Resource Management Sustainability and Climate Change” was held under the auspices of Bangladesh Geographical Society today March 30, 2019 at RI Khan auditorium of Dhaka University Geography Department. DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad inaugurated the conference as chief guest.

President of  Bangladesh Geographical Society (BGS) Prof. Dr. Hafiza Khatun presided over the inaugural function of the conference while Dean of DU Earth and Environmental Sciences Faculty Prof. Dr A S M Maksud Kamal and Chairman of DU Geography Department Prof. Dr. Rejuan Hossain Bhuiyan addressed it as special guests. Former renowned professor of DU Geography Department  Dr K B Sajjadur Rasheed delivered the key-note paper at the inaugural session of the conference. Among others, Secretary of Bangladesh Geographical Society (BGS) Prof. Dr. M. Maksudur Rahman also addressed it.

Six scientific papers were presented at the conference by eminent scientists and researchers of different universities of the country.

The conference was rounded off with a colorful cultural program.
