Short Biography:

He published over 32 publications, 1 book and 6 R packages and recieved more than 12 national and internation research grants. He presented research works in over 22 international conferences/workshops held in 11 countries. He has received many prestigious awards including the Conference Award for Scientists by the International Society for Clinical Biostatistics for 2015 (Birmingham, UK) and 2016 (Utrecht, Netherlands) for outstanding research; the Dhaka University Science Faculty Dean’s Award for 2014 and 2016 for his research excellence. He is involved with editorial and reviewing service of many top level journals (Biometrics, Statistics in Medicine, BMJ Open etc).

Research Interest
Subject Description
Survival Analysis, Regularized Methods and Their Estimation, Statistical Computing, Machine Learning, Public Health and Social Statistics Hasinur Khan works in high-dimensional data analysis (both censored or complete), with his main research interest being in variable selection, model selection with regularized techniques and in statistical inference with censored data found in fields like Statistical Genomics, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics etc. He is also interested to work in statistical computing, Machine Learning, Bayesian Statistics and Social Statistics. Besides, he is interested in statistical consultancy which includes general advice on the application of statistical methods including study design, data analysis and interpretation, and on all statistical aspects of business and academic research.
