Short Biography:

A Professor of Microbiology, Muhammad Manjurul Karim earned his Ph.D. in Biomolecular Sciences from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, UK (2001), did a post-doc at McGill University, Canada (2002-04), and was trained at the University of Dundee, UK, and ICGEB, India. He is a recipient of the University Grants Commission, Bangladesh Award (2006), Bangladesh Academy of Sciences (BAS) Gold Medal Prize (2007), and TWAS Young Scientist Award (2007). Currently, he is the General Secretary, Global Network of Bangladeshi Biotechnologists (GNOBB). A widely traveled man, Dr. Karim co-edited several books and has authored >40 publications to his credit.
