Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall of Dhaka University has been named after Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall was established in 1988. This hall is one of the halls with modern facilities of Dhaka University. The hall has wireless internet connection (Wi-Fi), a rich library, a well-equipped reading room, a mosque, a canteen, and a dining room for students. The entire area of ​​the hall, surrounded by green spaces, is under CCTV camera surveillance 24 hours a day. The students of the hall have the opportunity to play various indoor sports including carrom, table tennis, chess, badminton. To motivate the students of the hall to compete in merit-based competitions, the Provost Award is given to the students of the hall with the highest results in the Honors Examination of various faculties every year. Every year, discussion meetings, cultural programs, debate competitions, etc. are organized in the hall on the occasion of various national days. The elected Hall Parliament plans and carries out various activities for the welfare of the students.
