Chinese Director of Confucius Institute at DU Speaks at China-Bangladesh Readers Forum of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China"达卡孔院中方院长受邀在《习近平谈治国理政》中孟读者会上发言
On May 11, 2025, the China-Bangladesh Readers Forum of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" was grandly held in Dhaka, co-organized by the State Council Information Office of China, China International Communications Group, and the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh. The event was attended by nearly 400 guests, including H. E. Mr. Du Zhanyuan, Director of China International Communications Group; H. E. Mr.Yao Wen, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh; Bangladeshi government advisors, political leaders, and representatives from various sectors.
During the readers’ exchange session, Chinese and Bangladeshi scholars and experts engaged in speeches and exchanges centered on themes such as the Belt and Road Initiative, Chinese Dream, reform and opening-up, Chinese modernization, poverty alleviation, and people-to-people connectivity.
Dr. Yang Hui, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Dhaka, delivered a speech titled "China's Approach to Poverty Alleviation: Lessons from Yunnan and New Pathways for Bangladesh." She shared China’s targeted poverty alleviation practices, highlighting Yunnan’s transformation from a "poverty-stricken region" to a "model of development." Yang emphasized the role of education in breaking the cycle of poverty and proposed localized strategies for Bangladesh, such as vocational training, digital solutions, and women’s empowerment.
2025年5月11日，由中国国务院新闻办公室、中国外文局与中国驻孟加拉国大使馆共同主办的《习近平谈治国理政》中孟读者会在达卡隆重举行。中国外文局局长杜占元、中国驻孟大使姚文、孟加拉国临时政府顾问福兹尔、首席顾问新闻秘书沙菲克以及孟各政党负责人、中孟社会各界嘉宾近400人出席活动。

在读者会环节，中孟两国专家学者围绕“一带一路”“中国梦”“改革开放”“中国式现代化”“消除贫困”“民心相通”等主题展开研讨交流。
达卡大学孔子学院中方院长杨惠受邀在会上发表题为《消除贫困的"中国方案"——以云南为例，探索孟加拉国发展新路径》的演讲。杨惠结合中国精准扶贫的实践经验，特别是云南从"贫困标签"到"脱贫样板"的转变，强调教育在减贫中的关键作用。她提出，孟加拉国可借鉴中国"扶智+扶志"模式，通过职业教育、科技赋能和社会参与，探索本土化发展路径。_1750044122.png)
