Chinese Director of DU Confucius Institute Encourages New Students of Chinese Department to Seize New Opportunities in China-Bangladesh Relations达卡孔院中方院长寄语中文系新生把握中孟关系新机遇
2026年7月29日中午，达卡大学中文系在现代语言学院礼堂举行第十届新生迎新会（Batch 10 Orientation）。现代语言学院院长、孔子学院外方院长卡马尔教授，孔子学院中方院长杨惠博士应邀出席并先后致辞。中文系教师及孔子学院中方教师代表等也一同到场参加。
杨惠院长在讲话中指出，达卡大学中文系是孟加拉国迄今唯一的全日制中文本科专业，具有开创性和独特性。该系毕业生发展前景广阔，或赴中国知名学府继续深造，或在教育、研究、商务及翻译等多个领域发挥语言优势，成为中孟交流的重要桥梁。
杨惠院长特别提到，刚刚过去的一个月对中孟关系具有里程碑意义。2026年6月下旬，孟加拉国总理塔里克·拉赫曼成功对中国进行正式访问，两国领导人共同宣布构建“新时代中孟命运共同体”。访问期间，两国教育部签署了关于中文教育发展的合作协议，未来中文专业的发展空间将进一步拓展，这为同学们的学习和未来职业发展带来了前所未有的机遇。
致辞中，杨惠院长回顾了达卡大学孔子学院与中文系并肩走过的十年历程。今年恰逢孔院与中文系成立十周年，双方作为重要合作伙伴，共同成长、相互成就。十年来，孔子学院为中文系培养了一大批高水平中文人才，孔院学生在“汉语桥”“诗歌朗诵”“中国影视剧配音大赛“等中文重要赛事中屡创佳绩，充分展现了孟加拉国青年学子的中文实力与风采。
最后，杨惠院长寄语第十届新生，希望他们珍惜在达卡大学中文系学习的宝贵时光，勤奋求知，早日成为精通中文、了解中国文化的专业人才，为中孟两国友好交流与务实合作贡献青春力量。
现代语言学院院长、孔子学院外方院长卡马尔教授（Prof.Dr. Mohammad Absar Kamal）、中文系前主任阿弗扎尔教授（Prof. Dr. Md. Afzal Hossain）等也先后致辞，祝贺新生入学，鼓励他们砥砺前行、学有所成。迎新会上，新生们还带来了精彩的文艺表演，展示了青春风采和学习中文的热情。
On July 29, 2026, the Department of Chinese Language and Culture, University of Dhaka held the 10th Batch Orientation for new students in the Auditorium of the Institute of Modern Languages. Professor Dr. Mohammad Absar Kamal, Director of the Institute of Modern Languages and Bangladeshi Director of the Confucius Institute, and Dr. Yang Hui, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute, were invited to attend and delivered speeches successively. Faculty members of the Chinese Department and representatives of Chinese teachers from the Confucius Institute were also present.
In her speech, Director Yang Hui noted that the Chinese Department is the only full-time undergraduate Chinese program in Bangladesh. She highlighted that Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's successful visit to China in late June 2026 and the signing of a bilateral education cooperation agreement on Chinese language development have opened up new opportunities for the program. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of both the Confucius Institute and the Chinese Department. As close partners, the Confucius Institute has trained a large number of high-caliber Chinese language students for the department, who have excelled in many major events like the Chinese Bridge Competition. She encouraged the new students to cherish their studies and become contributors to China-Bangladesh friendship.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Absar Kamal and Professor Dr. Md. Afzal Hossain, former Head of the Chinese Department, also delivered speeches, congratulating the new students and encouraging them to strive for excellence. The orientation also featured cultural performances by the new students, showcasing their enthusiasm for learning Chinese.
