The Department of Finance, University of Dhaka is deeply honored.
On June 7, 2026, at the 10th Anniversary Celebration of CFA Society Bangladesh at Sheraton Dhaka, Grand Ballroom-2, our department has been recognized among the top five universities in Bangladesh with the highest number of CFA Program registrations over the past five years. Receiving this recognition in a room filled with distinguished policymakers, regulators, senior industry leaders, and CFA Charterholders makes it all the more meaningful.
This achievement is not ours alone. It belongs first and foremost to our students — young men and women who chose the demanding path of the CFA Program alongside their academic commitments, driven by a resolve to meet global standards. It belongs to our faculty, who have worked diligently to ensure that what is taught in our classrooms reflects the rigorous intellectual foundation that the CFA curriculum demands. And it belongs to the University of Dhaka — an institution whose century-long legacy of academic excellence continues to set the benchmark for higher education in Bangladesh.
Our commitment goes beyond recognition. The Department of Finance has long been deliberate in aligning its academic programs with the CFA Program's core body of knowledge — spanning financial analysis, portfolio management, ethics, economics, and quantitative methods. We believe that finance education must not only be theoretically sound but must also be practically relevant and globally portable. Our graduates should be equipped to analyze markets, manage risk, and make sound investment decisions — whether they are working in Dhaka, Dubai, or anywhere else in the world.
This recognition reaffirms that we are on the right path. But it also deepens our responsibility. We will continue to raise the bar — in curriculum design, in mentorship, in research, and in the professional opportunities we open for our students.
