The Institute of Applied Statistics and Data Science (IASDS), University of Dhaka, warmly congratulates Professor Dr. Mohammad Shafiqur Rahman on being recognized by the University of Dhaka for his contribution to research and scholarly impact.

Professor Rahman was among 62 distinguished teachers and researchers of the University of Dhaka honoured for achieving 2,000 or more citations on Google Scholar, reflecting their significant contributions to research and enhancing the University’s visibility in the international academic community.

The recognition was presented at a ceremony held on 27 August 2026 at the Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban. Professor Dr. A B M Obaidul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, attended the ceremony as the chief guest and congratulated the awardees for their scholarly achievements.
