President & Vice-Chancellor of the University of Regina, Canada Dr. Jeff Keshen called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan today January 29, 2026 at the latter’s office of the university. He was accompanied by Associate Vice-President Mr. Haroon Chaudhry and Associate Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asadullah of the same university.

During the meeting they discussed various issues including the possibilities of strengthening ongoing joint collaborative academic and research programs between University of Dhaka and the University of Regina, Canada. They also discussed about undertaking more joint collaborative research programs on international relations, political science, agriculture, business, engineering, physics, chemistry, social work, criminology and psychology between these two universities. Exchange of academic materials and publications as well as faculty members, students and researchers between DU and Regina University were also discussed in the meeting.

It may be mentioned that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Dhaka and the University of Regina was signed in 2023 to undertake joint collaborative academic and research programs between the two universities. According to this MoU, Dhaka University and the University of Regina have been jointly conducting academic and research programs for few years last.
