A five-member delegation led by Mr. He Xi, Chairman of VIVO Bangladesh, a Chinese company called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A B M Obaidul Islam today July 26, 2026 at his office of the university. Others members of this delegation were Mr. Zhang Xing, Mr. Anthony, Mr. David and Mr. John Steve Gomes of the same company.  

    Chairman of the Department of Banking and Insurance of DU Prof. Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam Zahid, Associate Prof. Dr. Sadia Noor Khan, Assistant Proctor Ali Mohammad Kowser and Assistant Prof. Dr. Md. Tanvir Hamim were present on this occasion. 

During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interests specially the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative training programs on business skills and leadership development between Dhaka University and VIVO Bangladesh. 

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A B M Obaidul Islam said, the historical relationship between Bangladesh and China has been prevailing for long years. Dhaka University authorities want to work together with different Chinese universities as well as companies to enhance the quality of education and research, he added. He thanked the guests for their visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
