A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Dhaka (DU) and Senmon Kyouiku Publishing Co., Ltd, a Japanese company was signed today September 13, 2026 at VC’s meeting room of the university for introducing Japanese Language NAT-Test service at DU. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam was present on this occasion as chief guest.

Treasurer of DU Prof. Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and President of Senmon Kyouiku Publishing Co., Ltd Mr. Kamata Satoshi signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institution.

Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of DU Prof. Kazi Mohammad Mahbobor Rahman, Chairman of the Department of Japanese Studies Dr. Md Jahangir Alam, some other teachers and Japanese students were present on this occasion.

According to the MoU, DU Japanese Studies Department will conduct Japanese Language NAT-Test service at Dhaka University in computer-based format. Besides, they will work together for enhancing Japanese Language education at DU as well as strengthening mutual trust and friendship between Bangladesh and Japan.   

It may be mentioned that the Japanese Language NAT-Test is standardized exam that measures the Japanese Language proficiency of non-native speakers.
