The Department of Management at the University of Dhaka successfully organized a workshop titled "Mastering the Art of Publications" today, aimed at enhancing research and publishing proficiency among faculty members. The virtual event was held at the W. A. Jenkins Virtual Classroom on the 9th floor of the MBA Building, FBS, DU, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The workshop was led by Dr Md Imtiaz Mostafiz is the Deputy Associate Dean of Research Excellence and Associate Professor in Strategy and International Business at the School of Business, University of Leicester, UK. Before joining ULSB, he was a Reader in Business at University of Bolton, UK. He was also a Senior Lecturer of International Business and Strategy at Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom. He also served at Taylor's University, Malaysia, as a Lecturer in International Business. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK.
Dr. Mostafaz, a recipient of the British Academy's Global Talent Award, shared valuable insights on publishing in top-tier journals, research visibility, and manuscript development, inspiring attendees with his extensive experience.
Invited faculties from various departments participated eagerly in the sessions, engaging with topics such as effective research writing, peer-review navigation, and research impact measurement. The event provided practical guidance for researchers aiming to publish their work internationally.
Attendees expressed high satisfaction with the sessions and appreciated the expert advice provided by Dr. Mostafaz. The Department of Management emphasized its commitment to fostering research excellence and plans to conduct further capacity-building activities for faculty members.
