Dhaka University has emerged champion in the 17th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition Bangladesh National Rounds, 2026. The competition was organized by the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) and the Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) and held at the IUB campus on November 6-7.

   Dhaka University Moot Court team comprised law students Md. Gazee Muzeeru, Nafisah Tabassum, and Mohammed Ibne Alam.

A total of 16 public and private universities across Bangladesh participated in the oral rounds of this esteemed competition. Dhaka University team displayed outstanding advocacy, sharp legal reasoning, dedication, and exemplary teamwork throughout the rounds.

Dean of the Faculty of Law of DU and President of DUMCS Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ekramul Haque, Chief Moderator of DUMCS and Associate Prof. Dr. Farzana Akter provided guidance and encouragement to the team. Lecturer of the Department of Law of DU Mr. Moniruz Zaman played role as the Coach of the team.

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam congratulated the team for this remarkable achievement and wished them continued success in the upcoming Asia Pacific rounds in Hong Kong.
