Program for Half-day Workshop on ‘AI and Future of Historical Research’ was held in the Department of History, University of Dhaka
A half-day workshop on 'Al and Future of Historical Research' was held on April 22, 2026, Wednesday, at 11:30 am in the conference room of the department. The aim of the workshop is to understand how to streamline the technique and approach supervisors will take to ensure equalization and uniformity in the assessment of the newly introduced thesis and monograph segment in the MA curriculum. The Half-day workshop was presided by Professor Dr. Ashfaque Hossain, Chairman, Department of History, University of Dhaka. The program commenced at 11.30 am with a Welcome address by Professor Dr. Asha Islam Nayeem, Convenor, MA Syllabus Committee. Dr. Azrin Afrin discussed on ‘Evaluation, Proposal Framework and Scoring Criteria of Theses and Monographs.’ Dr. Kazi Mostak Gausul Hoq, Professor of Information Science and Library Management and, Librarian, University of Dhaka, presented on enlighten the faculty on critical issues of using Al in research. Dr. Ahmedul Kabir, Associate Professor, Institute of Information Technology discussed further on the multi-faceted problems related to the theme of the workshop. A lively question and answer session followed the presentation.
