Bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world business!
As part of the continuous student development program, BBA 28th Batch of the Department of Marketing, University of Dhaka, successfully conducted an industrial visit to Igloo Ice Cream factory, Narayanganj Industrial area on October 3, 2026.
Igloo Ice Cream is a SME business unit of the company Abdul Monem Ltd. It is the pioneer ice cream brand in Bangladesh. The factory is producing 60,000 liters of ice cream per day which is distributed throughout the country.

The students gaining firsthand exposure to the operations, marketing practices, production process, and business realities of one of Bangladesh’s leading ice cream brands.
The visit was conducted under the esteemed leadership of Professor Dr. Zakir Hossain Bhuiyan, and the guidance of Honorable Chairman, Professor Dr. Serajul Hoque, providing students with a valuable opportunity to connect their academic learning with practical industry experience.

From understanding how a product moves from production to the hands of consumers to witnessing the people and processes behind the brand, the experience offered a meaningful glimpse into the world of marketing beyond the classroom.
