10-14 August, 2025: From 10–14 August 2025, the JICA-BCC-BASIS Technical Cooperation Project conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) for the Digital Forensic course under the B-TopCS program.
This program equips participants with essential skills to carry out digital forensic investigations – from evidence acquisition to analysis and reporting – supporting cybercrime and incident response efforts.
The course was introduced by idCARE.UI, which has been delivering cybersecurity programs developed through collaboration between the University of Indonesia and JICA Indonesia. This time, two expert trainers from Indonesia visited the University of Dhaka and led the sessions.
Seven participants, comprising faculty members from both public and private universities, as well as experts from Bangladesh Bank, CID, Bangladesh Police, and the Bangladesh Computer Council, successfully completed the training. Moving forward, they will deliver the Digital Forensic course locally under the B-TopCS program.
This initiative represents a significant step forward in cross-border collaboration to strengthen cybersecurity capacity, fostering knowledge exchange, building local expertise, and paving the way for a more secure digital future in Bangladesh and beyond.
