Professor Emeritus of Kansai University, Japan Dr. Kenichi Kubota called on Dhaka University (DU) Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed today August 13, 2025 at his office. He was accompanied by Karen Yoshimi, a student of the same university. Prof. Mohammad Nure Alam Siddique of the Institute of Education and Research (IER) of DU was present on this occasion.

During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of strengthening ongoing joint collaborative academic and research programs between Dhaka University and Kansai University, Japan. Exchange of teachers, students and researchers between the two universities were also discussed in the meeting.

Later, Professor Emeritus Dr. Kenichi Kubota delivered a lecture on “Learning Assessment in the age of AI” at IER of the university.
