Deputy Director of British Council Maarya Rehman called on Dhaka University (DU) Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed today December 18, 2025 at the VC’s meeting room of the university. She was accompanied by Mr. Toufiq Hasan, Head of Education of British Council.

During the meeting they discussed the possibilities of strengthening ongoing academic and research collaboration between Dhaka University and British Council. Exchange of teachers, students and researchers among Dhaka University and different universities in UK were also discussed in the meeting.

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed sought cooperation from British Council Deputy Director to make DU internationalization through undertaking joint collaborative research programs as well as publishing journal jointly by the University of Dhaka and renowned universities in UK. They also discussed about arranging workshop and training programs for DU young teachers and students with the support from British Council.
